Hey y’all — I’m Michael “Doc” Studard, host of Mornings With Doc on Kickin Kountry 101, frontman for the Southern rock/Americana band Stateline Saints, and a lifelong storyteller born and raised on the Mississippi-Tennessee line.
My mornings start with a mic, a mug of coffee, and six million watts of pure Southern grit. As the voice behind Kickin Kountry 101 — an iHeart-monitored, MediaBase-tracked station averaging over 600,000 daily listeners worldwide — I get to spin today’s best country, spotlight indie talent, and keep the spirit of real country radio alive.
Before I ever cracked a mic, I was on the other side of it. As a songwriter and performer with Stateline Saints, I’ve watched our music explode from small-town sessions to global streams. Off-air, I’m husband to Leafy Rivers Studard, proud dad, and the pack leader to a dozen rescue dogs who somehow still let me sleep in my own bed.
